Fractures
Each fracture is different
Young bones
they bend, then snap
Left to heal alone
they grow up twisted
Strong bones
they can take a beating
Deep bruises hurt
but they do not show
Bones grown brittle
they shatter at a touch
Unused to pressure
they collapse under stress
Forces of nature, and man
can crack any bone
Crushing weights and hard falls
ground them to powder
Minds
they break like bones

There are words, thoughts, that are too painful to be said out loud, it’s too fearful to use the language of feelings, the language of knowledge.
Minds are so delicate.
